The Lifecycle Overview ensures sustainable operational capability of digital systems across their entire period of use.

It prevents infrastructure that is technically stable but strategically obsolete.

The artifact supports the healthcare provider’s regulatory operator responsibility by ensuring that lifecycle control remains visible and actively governed.

Guiding Question​

Is this system sustainably operable, maintainable, and regulatorily compliant across its entire lifecycle?

Structural Effect​

The Lifecycle Overview:

  • creates transparency regarding version status and support cycles
  • makes update and replacement strategies explicit
  • prevents uncontrolled legacy structures
  • highlights manufacturer dependencies
  • strengthens long-term regulatory and operational stability
